Welcome to Sweet Black Magic!

Nestled in downtown Oakland, California, Sweet Black Magic is a home-based bakery dedicated to serving the diverse Bay Area community. We specialize in creating nostalgic, home-style desserts and treats made exclusively with locally-sourced organic flour, eggs, and dairy from nearby farmers. As a Black queer-owned business, our culinary inspiration is deeply rooted in the rich traditions and recipes of Black American cooking.
At Sweet Black Magic, our mission is to nourish both the body and spirit with our decadent and soul-satisfying creations. In a world where preservatives, unfamiliar chemicals, and questionable food preparation methods prevail, our bakery strives to engage in a broader dialogue concerning food, well-being, and social equity. Every item we craft is infused with love and intention, using ingredients that are not only recognizable but also pronounceable.

Upcoming Pre-Order & Pickup Dates 

We accept pre-orders Monday through Wednesday. Orders placed Monday through Wednesday will be available for pickup on Saturday from 12PM - 4PM. Pickup Location is at 585 22nd Street in Oakland, CA, across from the USPS and Kia Service Center.

We offer delivery for orders placed in the Bay Area for an additional $15 fee. If you would like to have your order delivered, please write a note  at checkout.
